ALL PRE-PRODUCTION NEW MATH NOW SHIPPED
Except Those With K.B.K. Bodies, To Ship Monday.
REGULAR ORDERS NOW SHIPPING WITHIN 24 HOURS.

We've been working 16-hour days to get everything done as quickly as possible. If you ordered your X - 6 in February, March, or April, you'll be calculating New Math in just a few days. All those Kits were shipped on Tuesday, Sept 5 th, with the U.S. Kits slated to arrive Thursday or Friday, and the overseas orders next week.

D'oh! We finally figured out how to peel off the back of the label. Tough to make these complex decisions when you're in a hurry. Kind of like being on the drivers' stand…

Packing a Kit -- That is Bag D. Make sure you get one of each, Chazz.

If all goes well, Kits ordered in May will be shipped tomorrow. I must take my 92-year old father to the doctor for his regular check-up in the afternoon, and that will use up much of the day.

Credit cards will be debited for all May orders Sept 5 or Sept 6, and those orders will be shipped Wednesday Sept 6th. All remaining cards will be debited Sept 6 or Sept 7th for shipment Thursday Sept 7th.

Carrying some Kits to the Explorer. Plenty of room on the peg board for AE parts coming soon.

Is your New Math in there?

We use U.S. Postal Service Priority mail in the US which normally gives 2 - 3 day delivery. For overseas shipments we use U.S. Postal Service Global Priority mail, with delivery most of the time in 6 - 10 business days. This service is fairly quick and quite economical, with good reliability. In the past 2+ years, they have delivered about 99% of our packages on time. Unfortunately, there is no tracking available with this service.

It's the office work that takes so much time. Actually packing the Kits is straight-forward and fairly quick. We must enter all the info for each card manually, Typing all the info for each transaction into the computer, plus typing the address labels and customs forms takes almost 5 minutes per sale.

A basket of X - 6s!

A wonderful little small-town post office.

We haven't gotten around to sending out confirmation E-mails yet, another part of this which will require several minutes per customer, as each one must be individual. The CC company generates E-mails automatically showing the amount of the transaction. Our parent company, Whitehouse Materials will be listed as the sender of those E-mails, and if you get one, that's how much we have debited.

We're going to begin sending the individual confirmations tonight, but may not get around to all of them before we start the process over Wednesday morning for the May orders we hope to ship then. We hope you understand that shipping everyone ASAP is #1, and we'll get all the individual confirmations out as soon as we can. We take very seriously the fact that you've entrusted us with your info and we will not do funny things with that.

This is the final update we intend to put up on X - 6 progress. We'll spend our time debiting, shipping, and E-mailing to get that done ASAP. We appreciate the patience and understanding of all our family. /See you at the track!!!

FIRST X - 6's SHIPPED!! MANY MORE ON TUESDAY!! REMAINDER WEDNESDAY!!

At Last!!!  We shipped the first few X - 6 Conversion Kits on Saturday Sept 2nd.  Several customers had paid up front with checks or money orders, and those we have received were shipped first.  Then we began shipping in the order received.

It Started With A Little CAD

Then To Some Machining

Then we Received our First Molded Chassis.

Finally! The Finished Product.

We finished making up the final Bags about 9 AM Saturday morning, and wanted to test our systems.  So we deposisted the checks and money orders in the bank and debited enough CCs to make a total of 12 Kits.  It was after 10:30 AM when we finished that.  (You'll be amazed how long it takes to punch in CC's manually.)

Instead of hauling all the Bags from the house to the shop and setting up, we threw a dozen of each Bag into a box and hustled over there.  We put the Bags in their bins, then set out to make up boxes, fill them, put on the labels, wrap, and label the outside.  The post office closes at noon on Saturday, so there wasn't much time.  We had to leave the shop by 11:40 at the latest to insure we'd make it by noon.

Everything went perfectly -- the box is filled nicely, no stuffing required but not too tight, and the process works well.  One problem:  Box labels.  We switched printers because we've never been really happy with the quality of the X - 5 labels, and the X - 6 labels really look sharp.  They're supposed to be peel-off and stick-on labels, but we simply can't get the backing peeled off.  We taped the first ones on their boxes, which is ugly, and shipped.

So Tuesday at 8 AM we'll call the printer to find out what can be done.  We will not allow this to hold things up; we're willing to ship Kits with no label if necessary.

THEREFORE, WE WILL DEBIT CCs ON MONDAY SEPT 4th.  Several customers have used debit cards to order The New Math and asked us to notify them when those cards will be debited.  We will try to send E-mails to those people, but if we miss you or the E-mail does not go through, you're notified!

The CC company sends an E-mail to you when we debit your card.  These E-mails show the sender to be our parent company, Whitehouse Materials, so do not be surprised when that E-mail arrives.  We will send an E-mail from chazz@2wdrc.com as soon as we can.
