Latest Pictures of X-6 Molds and Graphite Parts!

Work is just beginning on the cover side of the control arm & wing mount mold.

Here they are -- 25 chassies, 25 nose pieces, 25 rear shock towers. Not very romantic, lying there in a pile, but we're excited.

A closer look at the nose pieces & shock towers.

Pile of chassies out of focus. Note run-off slugs still on the front of some of them.

Meanwhile, work goes on on the second big mold. Here's the ejector side of the molds for the rear control arms & wing mounts, almost done.

Close-up of the wing mount section. Two loose pieces go in to make the "base" where they bold to the shock tower.

Close-up of one control arm pocket. The arm will "stand up" on its side in the mold, and two loose pieces will make most of it.

Two halves of the M.U.D. insert that will make the bottom covers and motor plate support. A loose piece will make much of the support. The bottom covers hold the front of the rear hinge pin on the bottom of the chassis.

Close-up of the ejector side of the covers M.U.D. The two rectangular areas, each with two screw holes, are the covers. Two screws hold each cover onto the chassis. They are symmetrical, not identical.

Loose piece for the motor plate support in the mill.

Close-up on the loose piece. Sorry about the focus.
